My step-dad, Sylvester Schloesser, had the pleasure of spending time with Russell Paine when they were both sharing a room at the Westerville Manor Care nursing facility several months ago. They became fast friends and my mother, Marilyn and I came to know and love him as Syl did. We are so sorry to hear of his passing but know his Soul rests with Jehovah God and his spirit will be with Him and in the memories of all the lives he touched so dearly.

Our deepest sympathy.

Russ made such a massive impact on my family. He was an absolute hero to my 13 year old son Michael who loves military aviation, especially WWII, so to hear Russ tell stories and talk about the planes was just amazing to him. We visited him at Sunrise and Michael took a P-40 that Russ flew and they got to sit and "talk planes". Plus he sat and prayed with Kim and I during an all-day prayer vigil that our church conducted around our upcoming pastor search. What a blessing to sit with a senior saint and listen to him talk to the Lord like a close friend. We can't wait to see you again in the sweet by and by Russ. Godspeed.

To My "Buddy",

It was a pleasure to be your Guardian with Honor Flight to see your WWII Memorial in D.C. Please know that our conversations are still etched in my mind and your friendship is eternal.

Rest in Peace Soldier!

My brother and I send our deepest sympathy upon the death of Russell Paine. Our families were long-time neighbors on Royal Forest. Russ and Doris were always reaching out in kindness to us, our parents and others leaving a lasting impression of a faithful and caring spirit. No doubt that legacy lives on in the generations that follow such loving people. Russ will surely be missed by all of you.
With fond memories,

As newer members of Linworth we did not have the privilege of knowing Russ Paine but we share in your loss of a fellow believer who served the Lord faithfully and is now enjoying eternity with his Savior. We look forward to meeting him someday. Blessings.
