Ruth E. Goble

GOBLE For Ruth Goble, crafting was the natural expression of her creativity and enthusiasm. She had the gift to look at a pile of yarn and fabric and thread, and see a beautiful handmade finished product. She put a little piece of herself in each of her crafting projects. Ruth Goble, sometimes strong-willed and opinionated, but always creative, passed away Friday morning December 7, 2012 in her Bellville home. She was 76. Born October 3, 1936 in Crow Summit, WV, to Harold and Sue (Wittke) Grubb, she was graduated from Linden McKinley High School in 1954. An avid basketball fan, Ruth closely followed The Ohio State Buckeyes Men's Basketball team. In addition to crafting and sewing, she enjoyed cooking and served as an adviser to 4H for years. Ruth had worked as a customer service representative in the offices of Purex Industries in Marion. Following her retirement, she traveled extensively, often on cruises with her lifelong friend who preceded her in death this year, Martha Bruce. She will be dearly missed her family which includes her son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Jennifer Stauffer of Columbus; her daughter and son-in-law, Dawn and Mark Armstrong of Bellville; her beloved grandchildren, Chad and Jen Stauffer, Amy Lewis, Lauren Cook and Alex Armstrong; and her constant faithful canine companion Max. Her brother Anthony Grubb preceded her in death this year. A private graveside funeral service will be held in Bellville Cemetery. Pastor Doug Pretorius will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio.
