Ruth Ann Rowland

Rowland (Hanger) Ruth Ann Rowland, fondly known as "Ann" or "Annie", 94, of Hilliard, passed away August 16, 2015. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, William Rowland; her children, Marilyn Hicks (Howard), Janet Brookbank, Joe Hanger; and stepdaughter, Christy Walker (Greg) and family. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Christine, Jennifer (Stan) and Jeffrey (Scott); and great grandchildren, Kylie, Quintin and Bridget; as well as many nieces and nephews scattered around the country. She was predeceased by her first husband of 32 years, Joseph C. Hanger. She retired from the West Ohio Conference Offices of the United Methodist Church. She was a 74 year member of Triangle Chapter of the Eastern Stars and a member of Hilliard United Methodist Church. In her 1939 yearbook from West High School it read under her picture "Full of Grace." This is exactly how she lived her life with her family, friends and neighbors, always generous and thoughtful. Fond memories of times spent at Buckeye Lake, Pizza Cottage and the Top Hat in Junction City will be cherished forever. Heartfelt thanks go to the staff at First Community Village and NCR Hospice staff for their exceptional care. At her request there will be no funeral.
