Ruthie Lewis Obituary

LEWIS Ruthie Lewis, of Gahanna, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2010. She was a charter member of the Women of the Moose, Gahanna Chapter 2088; retired from the Gahanna Grill after 25 years of faithful service. Ruthie was an avid Country and Western singer in various places around Columbus. She is preceded in death by grandchildren Shannon and Sara, and 2 brothers and 6 sisters. Ruthie is survived by children, Mike (Christy) Lewis, Wendy (Danny) McLane, and Tracy (Rudy) Caveda; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Sunday at COTNER FUNERAL HOME, 7369 E. Main St., Reynoldsburg, where her funeral will be held at 10 a.m., Monday. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Messages may be sent to the family at www.cotnerfuneralhome.com

I will miss you and your funny stories, and all the jewelry you would make all of us girls, also the beautiful crochet tops you would make,and the sweet baby blankets also. Rest in peace Ruthie, will always think of you when I hear the song "Take the ribbons from my hair" you were so cute singing you songs. Summer Breeze will also miss you lots! Minuard sang a song for you last night, We will miss you.
