Seems fittng that the last time I saw you was at Governor Strickland's inagural ball. That was you- in the midst of the action.

Ray was a good friend. He cared about everyone who crossed paths with him. If you neede help with anything he would do his best to get the help you needed. He somehow knew how to put you in contact with the right person. He was greatful to be able to help. He was loved and respectedd by many and will be greatly missed by all.

Peace be to Ray. He was an amazing individual who never took no for an acceptable answer, and forged ahead in life regardless of circumstances or perceived obstacles. He cared deeply for others, and showed his compassion to me by visiting me in the hospital in WV when I was facing a life-threatening illness myself. His dedication to making the world a better place for all people will not be forgotten by me and I hope others will remember this about him as well.

I am proud to have had Ray as a friend and colleague. He was a strong and compassionate advocate for others as well as a self advocate. His insistence on appropriate supports was a needed prod to the MRDD system. He made Ohio a better place for people with disabilities. I will miss him.

Ray was an exceptional individual. He was staunchly independent and concerned for the rights and welfare of those individuals with disabilities. Ray's contributions and efforts related to various groups and boards are recognized and appreciated. We are grateful to have known Ray and will miss him.
