Thomas Barker Obituary

BARKER Thomas L. Barker, 89, of West Jefferson died Sunday in the Arbors at West Jefferson. Born July 26, 1918 in Portland, OR, a son of Albert N. and Lulu Mae (Harris) Barker. A U.S. Army veteran of WW II attached to the 35th Infantry Division, Mr. Barker had been an avid lover of Big Band Music and was retired as the service manager from Varityper Business Machinery. Member of the West Jefferson First Baptist Church and West Jefferson Post #201, American Legion. Survived by wife, Ruthe V. (Hutchinson) Barker; son, Thomas L. (Jayne) Barker of Dublin; daughter, Linda M. (Bob) Geesling of London; grandchildren, Susan (Sonny) Weed of Saint Jo, TX, Kristen (Chris) Anderson of Whitesboro, TX, Rob (Cheron) Geesling of London, Jenny (Jim) All of Sunbury and Julie (Michael) Ropp of Columbus; great-grandchildren, Madison and Brandon Weed and Jadon Anderson; nephew, Joe Costello of Dunmore, PA. Preceded in death by wife Virginia (Jones) Barker, brother Albert Barker and sisters Marie Barker and Mary Jane Costello. Graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in Somerford Township Cemetery, London. Visitation will not be observed. The family is being served by the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, London. Memorials to the Children's Christmas Toy Fund, c/o West Jefferson Fire House, 745 W. Main St, WJ, Ohio 43162.
