1925 - 2021
Thomas Edwin Carr, 95, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2021. Preceded in death by wife Elizabeth Carr and parents Ray and Alice Carr. Survived by sons, Tom (Sherry Hartley) Carr, Tim (Sandy) Carr and Terry (Carol) Carr; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. U.S. Army Veteran of WWII having served with Merrill's Marauders and MARS TASK FORCE in the China-Burma-India Theater 612th Field Artillery Battalion. Member of F&AM for 70 + years with the New England Lodge; Shriner at Grove City and was active in Charity Newsies. Retired from Western & Southern Life after 28 years of service; owner operator of Fairwood Mobile Home Park. He loved to hunt, fish, boat on Lake Erie and farm. Graveside services will be held 10am Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Maplewood Cemetery, New Albany, Ohio. Arrangements completed at MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Rd., Westerville, Ohio.

I met Tom in 1970. My dad served in the war at the same time. They had no help when they came home. Hard headed but honest , hard working. Tom showed me how to buy my first rental. While building a barn on Narrows road Tom told me how to buy land. Thanks to Tom we now have a farm. Betty was a strong person. I would like to visit your Narrows land, and, see you guys. Tom, Tim and terry, Your dad made a big impact on my life. He told me how to buy the land in Hocking county where we now life. Also I told Tom in 1977 I had a client who wanted to sell a house for $8,000. He said he would buy it with out looking at it,but, It was time to get my feet wet. This led to my first rental. My dad served in Africa during the war. Dad like Tom didn't get any help. They paid for our freedom.

God Bless and a Heartfelt Thank You for your service in WWII. The USA would NOT be as it is today. I treasure the freedoms for which You fought. And Semper Fi. Soldier.

His middle name is Edwin, and I couldnt have asked for a better grandfather, to teach me and be there whenever I was in need. He will be missed greatly :(
