Thomas Estep Obituary

Estep, Thomas
1946 - 2017
Thomas Franklin Estep, 71, passed away peacefully, in his home, on December 29th with his loving wife by his side. He was born to the late Hubert and Hazel Estep on April 17, 1946 in Charleston, West Virginia. He was preceded in death by his precious grandson, Dominic; sisters-in-law, Mary and Mildred; brother, David; sisters, Mary and Pat; and his grandparents. He is survived by his wife, Donna; fur babies, Curly and Sophie; daughter, Nicki (Brad); son Tommy; grandchildren, Geramiah, Anastasia, Michaela, Isabella, Elijah, Brangwain, Hannah and Lily; his sister, Anna Ruth; his father-in-law, Warren; nieces and nephews; and many friends. He was a Navy Veteran who served two tours in Vietnam. His exposure to Agent Orange ultimately took his life. He married his wife on August 17, 1967. He loved to see the reactions by people when he proudly told them that he and Donna met on a blind date to go riding on his Harley and they married 11 days later. For 50 years their love story continued! He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather and will be truly missed. He was a life member of the Ohio Gun Collectors Association and The VFW. He was an avid OSU football fan. He loved to go antiquing with Donna and his children. He owned and operated DE's Auto Service in Grove City Ohio for 31 years. He was so sad when he had to close the shop, due to his health in 2008. He loved going to work and use to say he'd work on cars for free if he could support his family some other way. He loved his customers and appreciated their business. Many thanks to Dr. Camilla Curren, and the loving and caring staff at Mt Carmel Hospital, Mt Carmel Hospice and the VA. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, January 4, 2018 at the Schoedinger Grove City Chapel, 3920 Broadway, Grove City. Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday at Buckeye Christian Church, 1528 London Groveport Rd., Grove City, OH 43123. Private inurnment will be at a later date. Memorial contributions may be given to Mt Carmel Hospice or Ohio State Vet Hospital. Visit www.schoedinger.com to share a special memory or extend condolences.
