Virginia Ann Hogle

1929 - 2014

Hogle Virginia Ann Hogle, age 85, of Gahanna, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on November 23, 2014 with her family by her side. She was born October 2, 1929 in Columbus to the late Hobert Kelly and Anna Alice (Brown) Howard; also preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Orville Hogle and siblings Robert Hillary, Roberta Mallory and Kenny Howard. Virginia was the greatest mom, grandma, and great-grandma EVER! She is survived by her children, Debbie (Ralph) Dalton, Jim (Edith) Hogle and Tom (Debbie) Hogle; grandchildren, Tracy (Nikki) Dalton, Brian (Laura) Dalton, Michelle Kight, Stephanie (Jeremy) Bluestein, Taylor Hogle, Melvin Hogle and Larissa Hogle; nine great-grandchildren; special niece, Dixie (Dan) Stefanelli; many nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends, Rita Lewis and Virginia Nutt. Virginia was a 1947 graduate of Linden-McKinley High School and retired after 32 years of service from Central Ohio Paper Company. She was a 72 year member of Karl Road Baptist Church; a 25 year member of the Columbus Chapter of the Sweet Adeline's; a 15 year volunteer at St. Ann's Hospital in Westerville and an avid bowler in Central Ohio. Virginia enjoyed line dancing with the Blendon and Gahanna Senior Centers. She resided at the Villas of Gahanna where she participated in various social activities with her many friends and neighbors. Although Virginia was always a very active lady, there was never a doubt that she believed "God and family are most important." Family will receive friends from 9-11 a.m. on Friday, November 28, 2014, at Karl Road Baptist Church, 5750 Karl Rd., Columbus, OH 43229, where service will begin at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Northlawn Memory Gardens.
