Our Mother, Virginia L. Toberen, "Jenny" as she was fondly known, age 87 years, entered her eternal rest at 4:40 a.m. on Monday, March 26, 2018 at Country Lane Gardens Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Thornville, OH. She was born in Belfry, KY. On December 28, 1930 to the late Thomas and Loena (Gray) Runyon. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband John (Jack) Toberen, sisters Doris Runyon and Dorothy Scott, brothers Jerry and Tommy Dean Runyon and grandson Richard Ogg. She is survived by her son, David Williams; daughter, Julie (Alfred) Ogg; son, Jerry Toberen; and daughter, Jodi (Dwight) Seymour. She is survived by grandchildren, Will (Crystal) Ogg, Michelle (James) Reed, David Williams II, Bryan Williams, Amie Williams, Tanner Seymour, Cassi Seymour and Shannon Seymour; along with 9 great grandchildren. She is survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Mom will be remembered for the love she had for her children and family. She was an avid Buckeye fan and collector of turtles. Family and friends may visit 4-7pm on Wednesday, March 28, at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St. Canal Winchester, OH. A funeral service will begin at 10am on Thursday, March 29, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens, Lithopolis, OH. The Toberen Family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Phoebe, Candy and all staff at Country Lane Gardens Rehabilitation & Nursing Center for the loving care they gave our Mother, to Kaleigh Stultz and Michelle Kremblas for the care they gave mom at home and a special thank you to Mary at Fair Hope Hospice in Lancaster, OH.
