Wanda Lillian (Fields) Neudorfer-Pack, 76, passed away peacefully March 3, 2018 at St. Ann's Hospital in Westerville, Ohio. Wanda was born November 4, 1941 in Durbin, Kentucky to William C. and Iva (Black) Fields. A graduate of South Point High School, Wanda completed her undergraduate work at Marshall University, earned a Master's Degree from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and pursued her Doctorate at Penn State; she also studied Cytotechnology at The Ohio State University and worked at Riverside Methodist Hospital and Kingsdaughter Hospital in Ashland, KY (where she met and married her first husband, Dr. Karl M. Neudorfer). Wanda taught at Paul Blazer High School, Ashland, KY; Mecklenburg High School in Charlotte, NC; Northridge High School, Johnstown, OH and finally, Wanda taught the sciences at, and retired from, Gahanna-Lincoln High School in Gahanna, Ohio. She was a member of ORTA (Ohio Retired Teachers Assoc.) and numerous teaching societies. In addition to teaching, Wanda was passionate about music. She was an accomplished organist, having studied under Jan Linker, Chad Baker and Don Bogard and at one point was the organist at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Huntington, WV where she had initially joined the Lutheran Church. Wanda was a member of the AGO (American Guild of Organists) and held a service playing certificate, as well as ALCM (Association of Lutheran Church Musicians). She sang in the Upper Arlington Lutheran Church Choir, the Trinity Seminary Choir with May Schwarz and is now singing in Glory with the angels! Other notable experiences in her life include having served as a camp counselor at Camp Tulley in NY and Camp Wind in the Pines in MA; an avid hiker and member of the Central Ohio Hiking Group; faithful member of a SALT group (Sharing and Living Together) and an extremely proud mother of the 1994-1995 drum major at The Ohio State University! She is survived by her devoted husband of 15 years, Dr. David A. Pack; beloved son, Karl E. Neudorfer (fiancé, Melinda Young) of Houston, TX; and grandchildren, Nickolaus and Sloan Neudorfer. Other family members include her siblings, Ginger Davis (deceased), Glo DeRaimo of Winchester, KY, William C. Fields III of Paris, KY, June Lester of Willow Wood, OH, and Dinah (Gary) Geschke of Westerville, OH; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends, including dear friends, Connie Weakley, Ann Layer and Charlene Greene. She was preceded in death by her very special boxer, Butch. Family will welcome friends 6-8pm Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, OH 43230. Celebration of Life Service 11am Thursday, March 8, 2018 (gathering 10-11am) at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 4456 Morse Rd., Gahanna, OH 43230; Pastor Steve Brown, presiding. Graveside service 1pm Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Fields Fannin Cemetery, Bear Creek/ County Rd. 1937, Boyd County, KY. Pastor Kevin Mackey, officiating. I knew Wanda was a great, caring teacher, a as well as a wonderful mother and friend. I was not aware of her many other accomplishments. I feel fortunate to have known her. Please accept my sympathy, Karl, Dr. David, and the Fields Family.

I knew wanda from hiking club. She was such a dear person. She was determined and did a senior hike over a year ago. She also graciously played piano at new life church during my absence. God bless and keep her.
