William Jordan Obituary

JORDAN William Robert Jordan, age 89, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 10, 2012. He was born March 13, 1922 in Columbus, Ohio, the son of Harry and Lula Belle Jordan. Bill proudly served in the United States Army during World War II. He was wounded in the Battle of the Bulge. Bill received the following awards: Purple Heart, Bronze Star Medal, Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with three bronze service stars, World War II Victory Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge 1st Award, and Honorable Service Lapel Button WWII. Bill was a graduate of the Indiana Technical College where he earned a degree in electrical engineering. He retired from Robert Shaw Controls Company. Bill will always be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, thoughtfulness and consideration of others. A special thank you to the staff of Emeritus at Chestnut Hill and Acclaim Hospice and Palliative Care. Graveside service and interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Wednesday at 2 p.m. Pastor David DiPietro officiating. Arrangements entrusted to O.R. WOODYARD CO. FUNERAL HOME.
