William McKenzie Obituary

McKENZIE William (Billy Ray) McKenzie, age 69, of Sandy Hook, Ky., passed away September 15, 2009, at his residence. He was born in Mazie, Ky., on May 16, 1940, the son of Oakley and Mary (Holbrook) McKenzie. He is survived by two sons, William (Amy) and Dwayne; four daughters, Nancy, Lisa, Melissa and Michelle; several grandchildren, including Ian, Finn, Erica, and Joseph; two sisters, Barbara and Pat Jo; and friend and caregiver, Sue Cox. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Marvin and Don, and grandson Kevin. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-8 p.m. Friday in the RADER-MCDONALD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 West Main Street, West Jefferson, Oh. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev. Glade May officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity.

My thoughts are with the family. I will
always remember Bill, he was a part of
my life for a time. If i had know he was ill or somewhere in Cols. i would have gone to see him, was on vacation and Sarah told me so couldn't come to the viewing. He's in a better place now. Polly Zimmer

I rember going to school with him at Martha, Ky. many years ago.
He was a lot of fun and a grest kid. My sincere sympathy goes out to all the family.

DURING THE 1950'S I WENT TO SCHOOL WITH A BILL MCKENZIE IN GROVE CITY, OHIO. IS THIS THE SAME BILL MCKENZIE? IF SO, I REMEMBER BILL QUITE WELL AND HE WAS A GOOD FRIEND. SINCE GRADUATION OUR CLASS HAD LOST CONTACT WITH HIM. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF THIS IS THE SAME BILL. THE AGE IS CORRECT.
