William H. "Bill" Partee

Partee William H. "Bill" Partee, 80, of Chillicothe, died 12:52 a.m. Monday, December 1, 2014 in the Adena Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born December 24, 1933, in McArthur, Ohio, to the late Robert L. and Jean Tripp Partee. On June 10, 1954, he married the former Joanne M. Wagner who died June 22, 2012. Surviving are children, Michael W. (Evelyn) Partee, Joseph W. (Debbie) Partee, John H. "Jack" (Pam) Partee and Rebecca J. (Kevin) McCorkle, all of Chillicothe; ten grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Bill was a member and former Elder at the Adena Road Church of Christ and was also a member of United Commercial Travelers and the Wednesday Senior Bowling League at Shawnee Lanes. He retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. where he had worked in sales. Bill was a long time volunteer for Chief Logan Boy Scouts of America and was very active in his community having also volunteered at the Chillicothe VA Medical Center, Mound City and Bridge Street Church of Christ. He was an avid fisherman, golfer and bowler. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff at Adena Regional Medical Center, the staff at Adena's Palliative Care Unit and close friend, Suda Lucas, of Chillicothe, for their loving care. Bill touched many lives. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, December 4, 2014 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME, Chillicothe with Seth Tinkler officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call at Ware's from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday.
