1931 - 2020
William "Bill" E. Turner, 89, of Granville, Ohio, formerly of Sunbury, died Thursday, December 31, 2020 at his residence. He was born September 17, 1931 in Andover, Ohio to the late Raymond and Alice Tavernier Turner. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 yrs. Regina "Jean" Turner (2018), brothers Louis, Lawrence and Merle. Bill served as an Army Paratrooper during the Korean War and retired from Weirton Steel as a machine shop foreman. He also spent many years working in pool service to keep himself active. Bill loved to travel and just get in the car and go for a drive. He was handy at everything and was always tinkering in the garage. Family was extremely important to him and he looked forward to gatherings. He also enjoyed reuniting with friends when possible. Bill will be greatly missed by his children, Patricia Turner, James (Deborah) Turner and Rebecca (Rodger) Sprouse; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and all who knew him. A private funeral service will be held 11am Saturday, January 9, 2021 at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON, 6699 N. High Street, Worthington, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Bill's memory to Wounded Warriors Project or Hospice of Central Ohio. Visit www.schoedinger.com to send online condolences to the family.
