Willie D. (Gee Gee) Freeman Jr.

FREEMAN Willie D. Freeman, Jr. (Big Willie), (Gee Gee), age 40, of North Columbus, departed this life on April 18, 2012, after suffering from Coronary Cardiac Arrhythmia. Willie D. Freeman, Jr., was born on October 16, 1971, at Methodist Hospital in Gary, Indiana to Willie D. Sr., and Patricia Freeman. He attended West Side High School in Gary, IN and completed his training at Atterbury Job Corps in Edinburgh, IN as a brick mason in May 1996. He was employed at Ohio Valley Cable Service. He married his wife, Vanessa Davis on June 15, 1996, in Paducah, KY. Willie's favorite pastime was fishing. He loved to fish and taught all his children and many others how to master the sport. He was a true Green Bay Packers fan and a UK fan as well. In March of this year Willie made his affirmation to the Lord. He is survived by his wife, Vanessa; son, Willie D. Freeman, III; daughters, WaTeasa D'na Freeman and BreAnna J'na Freeman, all of Columbus, Ohio; His eldest son, Deverontee Freeman of Gary, IN; his mother, Patricia S. Freeman and his sister, Roxanne Smith Calloway, both of Gary, IN; sister, Yolanda E. Willis Pickens of San Angelo, TX; brother, Jeffery H. Shaffer of Gary, IN; in addition, a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts and in-laws. Willie was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Memorial Service 5 p.m., Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at the Wake Robin Apartments Community Club, 1690 Bob-O-Link Bend, Columbus. Arrangements by CARTER.
