Zelma M. Lane

Lane Zelma M. (Helwagen) Lane, 93, of Delaware and formerly of Columbus, passed away early Monday morning, July 6, 2015 at her daughter's residence. She was born February 20, 1922 in Pickaway County, Ohio to the late Arthur and Elizabeth (Carle) Helwagen. She was a graduate of Holy Family High School and was a member of the Aquinas High School Mother's Club. She was also a member of the Holy Family Alumni Club and St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Columbus. She worked for Copco Paper and retired after 24 years. Zelma enjoyed flowers and her loving Pomeranian Dogs, Mitty and J.J. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Janice (Jake) Cole of Delaware; son, Jack Lane of Delaware; grandson, Loren (Traci Presley) Wright of North Carolina; great grandsons, Joshua and Garrett Wright; former granddaughter-in-law, Tressa Wright; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother Arthur and sisters Eleanor and Eileen. The family will receive friends on Thursday July 9, 2015 from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at the SNYDER-RODMAN FUNERAL CENTER, 1510 W. William Street at Valleyside Drive, Delaware and where funeral service will follow at 7:30 p.m. with Rev. Fr. Michael Watson officiating. Graveside service will then be held on Friday July 10, 2015 at 12Noon at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Lockbourne, Ohio.
