Booger Ensley Obituary

MANTACHIE – Jimmy W. ""Booger"" Ensley, 54, died on Saturday, July 11, 2015, in Zanesville, Ohio, surrounded by his wife and loving family. He was born November 21, 1960, in Pell City, Ala., to W. Ulbert and Pauline Harris Ensley. He was a Navy veteran, serving on the USS America and USS Carl Vinson. He was an OTR truck driver for 30 years, driving the last five years for Sanders Family Enterprises of Baldwyn.
He was known and loved by many. He never met a stranger, and loved to ""pick"" at everyone he met. He was a Good Samaritan at home and on the road. He believed in the ""Pay It Forward"" philosophy of life. He volunteered for the Greater Mantachie Fire Department. He loved to hunt, fish, ride horses, drive his truck and most of all, he loved his family. Although Booger did not have any biological children, he had lots and lots of kids and oodles and oodles of grandbabies. He was a father to none, but he was a ""daddy"" and ""papaw"" to many.
Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Linda Ann Hawkins Ensley; his sister, Linda Ensley Cooper (Jeff) of Duluth, Ga.; two nieces, April McLain (Chris) and Rhonda Francis (Luke); four great-nieces, Isabella and Selah McLain and Charlotte and Lucy Francis; two great-nephews, Russell Duncan and Gavin McLain.
He is also survived by his adopted family – four daughters and three sons: Misty Montague (Curtis), Wendy White (Brandon), Tiffany ""T.J."" Wigginton (Travis), Amber ""Amberlynn"" Schallock, Casey Clayton (Casey), Jesse Hawkins (Sheila), Austin Schallock; 12 grandchildren, Lindsey, Iva Marie and Colt Montague, Houston, Katie, Kylie and Connor White, Ali and Kaylee Jane Clayton, Gabe, Madi and Malaya Wigginton; two sisters, Jan Helms (Ron) and Joy Jones (Keith); two brothers, Daryl Lloyd (Tina) and Dan Robinson (Lisa ); second wife (as Booger referred to her) Mandy Sanders (Greg); Margaret Hawkins (Dorman); Donna Clayton (David); Crystal Schallock (James); and Randy Sanders (Chris). Special nieces, Alexis Ozbirn, Savannah, BB and Shiloh Sanders, Valerie Stacy (Drew), Chanda Grimes (Daniel) and Carrie Higgins (Justin). Special nephews, Landon Sanders and Johnny Pannell.
Pallbearers will be Greg Sanders, Chris Sanders, Micheal Pannell, Jason Witcher, Harvey Sanders and Josh Baswell. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Greater Mantachie Fire Department.
Funeral services will be 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2015, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. Robert Humphres officiating. Burial will be in the Stephens Cemetery in Mantachie. Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. today, July 15, and from 3 p.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.

I am so sorry for your early passing; you were much too young! Was looking forward to our lunch (when you were back in Pell City) and to hearing all of the stories you'd promised to tell me. You'll be missed by so many but we all know you're in a better place. RIP; until we meet again.
