Daiqunn Rosebud Obituary
He was born on July 12, 1999 to Pamela T. Shumpert and Cassious Rosebud.
He graduated from Shannon High School with the class of 2017. He confessed Christ at an early age and joined Houston Church of Hope where he was one of the drummers. He remained a member until his passing.
He was employed at FedEx in Belden, MS. He loved to play all sports, especially baseball, football, and basketball. His love for basketball inspired him to coach a travel team for three years. He was also a big San Francisco 49ers fan. One of his favorite hobbies was mounting tv's.
Daiqunn's memory will be cherished by: his 4 year old daughter, Passion K. Rosebud; his mother, Pamela Shumpert (bonus father, Felix); his dad, Cassious Rosebud; four sisters, Jabryia Rosebud, Asia Hadley (Terry), Destiny Warren (Malcom), and Kierra Thomas (Madison); one brother, Alex Wilson; a host of special brothers, Jaquez Calvert, Jamaal Calvert, Tyler Smith, Wayne Smith III, Tyler George, Cobe George, Halen Moore, Gavion Rosebud, and Javen Foster.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wayne Smith, Sr. and Laverne White; great grandparents, Lillie Mae Slaughter, Neriah Catledge, and Margaret Kelly; and one aunt, Bobby Sue Kelly.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 16, 2024, from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Payton Mortuary. Funeral service will be Friday, May 17, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Living Word & Praise Sanctuary in Tupelo, MS. Interment will follow at Red Oak Grove Cemetery in Tupelo, MS. Services entrusted to Payton Mortuary.

My nephew Halen always called him Dee so I never knew his name but I do know that Halen didn't think of him as a friend.He thought of him as a brother. Lol I don't know how either of them got any sleep because they were always messaging each other..Dee I know you're in Heaven now and it's going to take a very long time for Halen to figure out how to go thru life without y'all by each other's side or being able to message but please keep watch over him and guide him down the right path because he looked up to you and listened when he wouldn't listen to me...I know you will always be there by Halen's side in spirit..I never got to meet you but I sure know my nephew thought the world of you..So thank you for being not just a best friend to him but also being more of a brother..
