Dorothy Mae Brown

1926 - 2024

Dorothy Mae Brown, 97, transitioned peacefully at her home Sunday, March 10, 2024 surrounded with family by her side.

Services will be held Sunday, March 17 at 2:00 pm at Corinth High School Performing Arts Center Auditorium. Visitation is at 4:00 until 6:00 pm Saturday, March 16 at Macedonia M.B. Church. Burial will be at 11:00 am, Monday, March 18 at Corinth National Cemetery.

She attended Hoyle High School. She was a faithful member of Macedonia M.B. Church where she was a choir member, and served on various committees. Her employment included working for Boeing Aircraft, and later

becoming self employed. She had an art for Ironing. She ironed for the public and did special ironing jobs that were sent out of the United States. This detailed ironing linens, table clothes and special wedding needs.

She had been married to the late Hardin Brown for 50 1/2 years.

She will always be remembered and loved by her 11 children; Leavern Copeland, Vera Riddles, Yvonne Brown, Theria Murphy, Mary Brown, Norman Earl Brown, Rickie Lacy Brown, Virginia Ann Brown, Dwight Harding Brown, Marion (Bebo) Brown, and Angela Brown-Scales, 22 grandchildren; Pamela Cobb, Debra Riddles, Dennis Riddles, Colisha Gwyn, Tory Murphy, Roderick Brown, Bryan "B" McClellan-Brown, Dr. Toni Bynum, Tamara Horton, Brittany B. Cox, Alexis Brown, Thomasiana Brown, Aston Alexander, Eric Howell, Kindra Shannon, Chelsea Brown, Amber Barnes, Jada Brown, Jaden Brown, Bo Brown, Colin Brown, O'Bryan Strickland, 45 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hardin Brown, father; John Norman, mother; Dovie Norman Burns, grandchildren; Keisha Patterson, John Riddles, Sisters; Bettie Banks, Lucille Tookes, Velma Green, and 1 brother; Lathon Norman.

Dr. Eric Betts, officiant and Bishop Gerald Coleman, Eulogist.

Patterson Memorial Chapel has the service.
