Flossie Clayton Obituary

POCAHONTAS, Ark. – Flossie Mae Clayton, 102, died November 7, 2014, at Randolph Nursing Home in Pocahontas, Ark. She was born November 1, 1912, in Union County to the late Tom and Mary Lou Rakestraw Young. She was a homemaker and had worked at Denton Mills. She was a member of Center Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today, November 10, 2014, at United Funeral Service with Dr. Randy Kolb officiating. Burial will be at Hopewell Cemetery. United Funeral Service of New Albany is in charge of the arrangements.
She is survived by eight grandchildren, Carolyn Clayton Rorex of Imboden, Ark., Kelly Clayton Vrettos of Memphis, Tenn., Jeff Clayton of Jonesboro, Ark., Michelle Clayton Louthain of Pocahontas, Ark., James Michael Clayton of Ravenden, Ark., Rebecca Clayton Goodsell of Imboden, Ark., Jennifer Clayton Thatcher of Ravenden, Ark. and Timothy Lynn Hall of Amory; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by two daughters-in-law, Corrine Clayton and Joyce Clayton and a son-in-law, Harmon Hall.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Louis Clayton; her children, Kenneth Norman Clayton, James Lafayette Clayton and Linda Hall; her siblings, Pearl Pannell, Rex Young and Claude Young; by three grandchildren, Kenneth Norman Clayton, Jr., Jeffery Louis Clayton and Cynthia Jo Hall.
Pallbearers will be Terry Rorex, Nick Vrettos, Jeff Clayton, Jackson Clayton, Michael Clayton and Zack Smith.
Visitation will be today from noon until service time at the funeral home.
