Haten Flemons Obituary
Haten professed a hope in Christ later in life and was a member of Toccopola Church of the Living God. He was a Masonic Brother with Garfield Lodge 61. Haten was a proud, self-employed man with his own wood haul business. He also worked for Pontotoc County for several years. He was known as a family man that enjoyed life. His favorite past times were raising cattle and working on vehicles.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Frank and Lula Mae Flemons, and one sister, Jannie C. Boles.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory, seven children: Tilda McEwen, Charles Edward Flemons, James Earl Flemons, Delphine Stewart, Paul Edward Flemons, Latasha Lindsey (Willie), and Clarence Harris; twelve siblings, John Robert Flemons (Martha Pearl), Margaret Bynum, Lamar Flemons (Ethel), Elaine McKnight (Joe), Charlie Flemons, Jerry Flemons (Betty Joyce), Garry Flemons, Mary Ann Hampton (Walter), Louise Lindsey, Rickey Flemons (Michelle), Carl Flemons (Irma), and Carol Goolsby; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and a special friend, David Joiner.
Funeral service will be Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Toccopola Church of the Living God, 320 Stockard Road, Thaxton, MS 38871. Viewing will be one hour before service. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Services entrusted to Payton Mortuary.
