Jerry Shannon Obituary
Jerry professed his faith in Christ early in life and joined the membership of Mt. Moriah Holiness Church in Guntown, MS.
Jerry attended Carver High School and then joined the United States Army.
Jerry married Sheila Wade Shannon in September of 1980. This was the beginning of a devoted partnership that remained a cherished part of his life for 45 years.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, his twin brother, Victor Shannon, his sister, Gail Campbell and two grandchildren, Malik Rivers and Santayia Gates.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife of 45 years, Sheila Shannon of Guntown, MS; one (1) son, Shawn Wade of Guntown, MS; two (2) daughters, Cassandra Shannon and Jaketa Shannon of Atlanta GA; three (3) sisters, Joann Ford of Shannon, MS, Alfreda Middlebrroks and Estlean Middlebrooks both of Tupelo, MS; three (3) brothers, Charles Swingrum of Aberdeen, MS, Willie Swingrum (Kathy) of Saltillo, MS and Paul Swingrum of Tupelo, MS two (2) grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025 from 3:00 pm -5:00 pm at Agnew and Sons Funeral Home, Baldwyn, MS. The funeral service will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025 at 12:00 Noon at Mt. Moriah Holiness Church in Guntown, MS. Agnew and Sons Funeral Home of Baldwyn is in charge or arrangements. Family and Friends may sign the guest register at www.agnewandsons.com.
