Joan Tribble Obituary

Aberdeen- Joan Francis Kowalski Tribble, 86, passed away May 6, 2024 at Riverplace in Amory, Ms. She was born June 22, 1937 in Meriden, Connecticut to Edward J. Kowalski and Frances M. Kowalski. She graduated from Meriden High School and attended college in Connecticut. She met and fell in love with the love of her life Jimmie Dale Tribble in California while serving in the US Air Force. They were married on December 1, 1959.

She worked at Walmart for twenty-five years and also at McCoy's as a seamstress. She loved the Lord and was Baptist in faith.

Joan was a loving daughter, sister, and mother. She would say her greatest accomplishment in life was raising her children. In her free time, she enjoyed listening to Elvis songs, traveling, playing cards and dominoes. She loved talking and laughing with her closest friends, Doyle and Martha West and Eudale and Bobby Murphy. Joan was passionate about St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and American Legion.

Such a loving, sweet, and devoted woman, Joan will be greatly missed by her family and friends. They know that she is in the presence of the Lord and that gives them peace.

She is survived by one daughter, Dawn Marie Tribble Gray (Buster Gray), Amory, MS; one sister-in-law, Judy L. Duncan (Boyd), Aberdeen, MS; seven grandchildren, Candace M. Hodnett, Brandon Gray (Bobbie), Daniel D. Gray (Abbie), Johnathan Gray, Amber Randolph (Joey), Marilyn Gray (Dale White), and Jennifer Stafford (Monroe); six great grandchildren, Chance Gray, Mason Gray, Rexie Gray, Keagan Roberts, Gabriel Stafford, and Dallas Gray; nephews and nieces, Ronnie Duncan, Barry Tribble, Ryan Kowalski, Kevin Kowalski, Rachel Rolison (Gary), and Kristen Gibs.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward J. Kowalski and Frances M. Kowalski; husband, Jimmy D. Tribble; three brothers, Ronald Kowalski, Dennis Kowalski, and Edward (DeDe) Kowalski; daughter, Angie Sue Tribble, and infant son.

Celebration of life services will be held Friday, May 10, 2024 at 11:00 AM at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory, MS with Bro. Dennis Smithey officiating. Burial will follow at Lann's Cemetery in Splunge, MS, with pallbearers being Barry Tribble, Jason Humber, Johnathan Gray, Daniel Gray, Jason Armstrong, and Dale White. Honorary pallbearers being Monroe Stafford and Joey Randolph.

Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, May 10, 2024, at E.E Pickle Funeral Home in Amory, MS from 10 AM until 11 AM.
