1929 - 2023

Baldwyn- Lawrence Franks, 93, passed away on Monday, April 17, 2023 at his home. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, starting projects and not finishing them, but he especially enjoyed spending time with family and making memories. He was a retired bus driver for Baldwyn School District and a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be at Waters Funeral Home on Sunday, April 23, 2023 at 2:00 p. m. with Dr. Chester Harrison officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery.

He is survived by two daughters, Sherry Floyd (Wayne) of Baldwyn and Loria Floyd of Pisgah; son, Terry Franks (Lesa) of Baldwyn; special friend, Betty Hefner; grandchildren, John Floyd (Kayla) of Booneville, Melissa Ray of Corinth, Tim Floyd of Corinth, Angie Smith (Anthony) of Booneville, Kimberly Williams (Randall) of Baldwyn, Buck Franks of Baldwyn, Josh Franks (Shelby) of Saltillo and Clinton Franks (Kaitlyn) of Baldwyn; host of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Grover and Suler Lindsey Franks; wife, Patricia Lominic; son, Dale Franks; grandchildren, Towanda Bittles and Keri Floyd; great-grandson, Andrew Bittles; brother, Charles Franks and a sister, Virginia Chittoms.

Pallbearers will be Buck Franks, Clint Franks, Daniel Wilmoth, John Floyd, Josh Franks and Randall Williams.

Visitation will be at Waters Funeral Home on Saturday from 5:00 - 8:00 p. m.
