Michael Scott Eldridge

CLINTON – Michael Scott Eldridge, 32, died April 17, 2014. He was born in Huntsville, Ala., and lived the majority of his life in Clinton. He attended Clinton Public Schools and Hinds Community College. He was employed by Meadow Oaks Golf Club in Jackson. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He grew up playing baseball, basketball and football. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Clinton. He is loved, and his warm smile will be missed by all who knew him.
A memorial service celebrating his life will held at 3 p.m. today, April 22, conducted by the Rev. Harvey Ellis at Lakewood Funeral Home Chapel at 6000 Clinton Blvd. in Jackson. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. prior to the service.
He is survived by his mother, Debbie Eldridge of Clinton; father, Jimmy Eldridge and wife, Sandra of Jackson; one grandmother, Annie Eldridge of Yazoo City; one brother, Dr. David Eldridge, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Tupelo and wife, Danielle; and three nephews, Hayden, Luke, and Jonathan of Tupelo.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Frank and Katherine Shropshire of Clinton; paternal grandfather, Philip Eldridge of Yazoo City; and one brother, Matthew James Eldridge of Clinton.
