Patsy Moore King

1947 - 2016

Patsy Moore King, 69, resident of the Ripley Community, lifelong resident of Tippah County and devoted wife of the late Rodger King, passed away Friday evening November 11, 2016 at her residence after an extended illness.

Services Celebrating the Life of Mrs. King will be at 2 PM Monday November 14 at Trinity Assembly of God with Bro. Clay Pritchett and Bro. Warren Harrell officiating. Burial will follow in Lowry United Methodist Church Cemetery. The Ripley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Born September 10,1947 in Tippah County, she was the daughter of the late Brewer and Hester Blythe Moore. Patsy was a graduate of Pine Grove High School and in 1973 married Rodger King, who died January 26, 2014. Patsy was a founding member of Trinity Assembly of God and devoted her life to sharing the love she received from Christ with all whose lives she touched as a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

Patsy will be remembered for the commitment she had to her family and her community by volunteering with Legacy Hospice as long as her health permitted. Music, collecting angels and watching the snow fall brought great joys to her life.

Visitation will continue today from 12 Noon until service time at Trinity Assembly of God.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Steve Turner (Stephanie), Myra Brady, both of Ripley and Felicia Ozbirn (Glenn) of Rienzi, her sisters, Lizzie Dean and Carol Mauney, both of Ripley, 6 grandchildren, Nathan Turner (Brittney), Mark Turner (Christina), Erica and Ethan Brady, Destiny and Channing Ozbirn, 2 great grandchildren, JT and Anya Turner, a special friend, Roscoe Watkins and a host of sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Erica King, sisters, Ruth Harrison and Linda Waldon and a brother Jeff Moore.
