Mr. Buren Ray Tull, 85, of Corinth, MS, passed away peacefully Sunday afternoon, February 4, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 13, 1932 in Chester County, TN to the late Fred and Bertha Ray Tull. After graduating from Bethel Springs High School in 1950, he joined the Army & served his country for 2 years attaining the rank of Sergeant First Class. He then married the love of his life, Lovie Joyce Tull September 12, 1952. He was also a longtime member of Tate Baptist Church. After working for a while at several jobs up north, he moved back to the area and he and his brother, Sam went to work for Binswanger Glass in Memphis, learning the Aluminum Storefront and Glass business that would become his lifelong vocation. Early in 1962, he and Sam made the decision to quit their jobs, move their families to Corinth, MS and began Tull Brothers Glass Company on February 7, 1962. During the summer of 1971, he again moved his family to Collierville, TN to become co-owner/manager of a second Tull Brothers Glass location. Then, in 1980, he sold his interest in the Collierville location to his son, Greg and returned to Corinth to manage field installation and the fabrication department until his first retirement in 2002. He remained an active part of Tull Brothers by serving as a consultant & mentor to all until his second retirement April 13, 2016 with 54 years of faithful service to the company. His leadership directly lead to Tull Brothers', Inc. 56 successful years of in business. He was the most hard-working man you would ever meet. Mr. Ray, which he was fondly known by everyone, loved to attend Corinth High School Football and Basketball games with his brother Sam and many special friends until his health would not allow him to attend. He also loved to watch college football on TV. It seemed his passion in life was to make people smile & laugh. He loved to kid with everyone, tell jokes and listen to others tell a joke, even if it might be on him. He never met a stranger. If he sat & talked to you long enough, he would figure out some way you & he might be related to each other. You might be sad when you met him but it wouldn't be long before he had you smiling or even laughing out loud. Another favorite thing he & Ms. Joyce loved to do was to Square Dance. Every week, they could be found on the dance floor having fun, laughing it up and entertaining others. They also enjoyed entertaining at area assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and schools. However, his greatest love was his family! He loved and doted on them. He loved being a Husband to his Lovie Joyce, a Brother to Sam, a Dad to his sons and being Grandad to his grandchildren and great-grandsons, Tucker & Kamden!! He taught his children and grandchildren this love by being the greatest example of love anyone could ever ask for. When one thinks of Mr. Ray, these words always come to mind; Funny, Humble, Kind, Honest, Passionate, Faithful, and Hard-Working!! Mr. Ray will forever be remembered in the hearts of his family and friends. Visitation is scheduled for 5-8 pm Tuesday, February 6, 2018 and from 12 pm till service time Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Magnolia Funeral Home.
