Raylee Carnathan Obituary

Raylee Jo Carnathan entered into heaven on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at the North Mississippi Medical Center Women's Hospital in Tupelo, Mississippi. Raylee Jo is the cherished daughter of Joe William Carnathan and Amanda Paige Lee Carnathan. An Angel opened the book of life, wrote down the baby's birth, then whispered as she closed the book, "Too beautiful and precious for Earth. "Her family will carry her memory with them until they meet again in Heaven.

Along with her parents, she is survived by her loving grandparents, Wayne and Tammy Lee of Nettleton, MS, and Sheree Carnathan and Alan Hall of Wren, MS; her great-grandmother, Romelle Gibson Cates of Wren, MS, and her aunt Mendy Carnathan-Vickers (Ken) of Pulaski, TN.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Bobby Ray Carnathan. The family finds great peace and comfort in knowing that he is now watching over her in Heaven.

A service to honor Raylee Jo will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 9, 2026, at the First United Methodist Church in Okolona, MS, with Bro. Alan Hall and Bro. Matt Mackey officiating. A private graveside service will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Okolona, MS. Visitation will be held on Monday only, from 10:00 AM until the service time at First United Methodist Church in Okolona, MS.

Mt. Vernon Chapel is honored to be assisting the Carnathan family during this time. Condolences for the family of Raylee Jo may be shared on her obituary page at mtvernonchapel.com.
