NEW ALBANY – Robert William Kwasinski, Sr., died Friday, March 27, 2015, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born July 22, 1931, in Chicago, Ill. to the late Albert Kwasinski, Sr. and Gertrude Kwasinski. He was a Korean War veteran having served in the United States Army. He was a retired employee of Denton Mills and Ertel Manufacturing. Robert was a member of the New Albany Presbyterian Church.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 30, 2015, at the United Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Bill Everett and the Rev. Mark Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Glenfield Memorial Park. United Funeral Service in New Albany is in charge of the arrangements.
He is survived by a daughter, Deborah Sue Dalrymple (Randy) of Mesa, Ariz.; three sons, Robert William Kwasinski, Jr. (Lisha) of Hickory Flat, Paul James Kwasinski (Tammye) of New Albany, and James Philip Kwasinski (Lisa) of Tupelo; two brothers, Albert Kwasinski, II of Miles City, Mont. and Ronald Kwasinski of Villa Park, Ill.; eight grandchildren, Tyler Sloan, Christopher Kwasinski, Brittney Frazier, Tori Kwasinski, Megan Kwasinski, Nathan Kwasinski, Beth Armstrong, and David Briggs; and ten great-grandchildren, Carson Frazier, Natalie Frazier, Samantha Frazier, Dylan Kwasinski, Brentlie Kwasinski, Zackary Armstrong, Audrey Armstrong, Troy Armstrong, William Briggs, and Jackson Briggs.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Gail Ellen Schwanenberg Kwasinski; and a sister, Rita Rogers.
Visitation will be today, March 29, 2015, from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the New Albany Presbyterian Church.
In honor of Mr. Kwasinski, United Funeral Service, Inc. will fly the flag of the United States Army at the funeral home during visitation and service.
