Sidney "Dago" Willard

1960 - 2023

Sidney Eugene Willard, "The man, the myth, the legend" 63 of Fulton, passed away Friday, September 29, 2023, at his home. He was born January 1, 1960 to the late Linder Willard and the late Bessie Mae Horton Rowland. He was well known for his wrestling and he was known as Thunder and Alladin. He was a volunteer firefighter and storm chaser. He enjoyed helping others weather it was raising money or taking care of anything. Sidney loved family gatherings and loved spending time with them and his friends. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with the boys. He also enjoyed karaoke. He was security detail wherever he went, weather it was at church or Huddle House. He enjoyed painting, yard work, and motorcycles. He loved his church, his pastor, and his church family at Solid Rock Refuge. And most of all he loved to hear about someone changing their soul to the Lord. He was proud of his children, grandchildren, and family but most of all the love of his life, Ann.

Services will be 2:00 pm on Tuesday October 3, 2023, at Solid Rock Refuge Church, 412 Evans Dr. SE, Tremont, MS, with Bro. John Griffus officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 to 10:00 pm on Monday October 2, 2023, at Solid Rock Refuge Church. Burial will be at Kennedy Haven Cemetery, 50052A, Kimbrough Rd., Amory, MS. Senter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Ann Willard; children: Sidney (Nallely) Willard, Jr., James (Rebecca) Willard, Latisha (Billy Saylors) Bermudez, Cody (Kendra) Gullick, Dessica (David) Tartt, Joe (Ninney) Sartin, Barbara Swanson; lifelong friend and children's mother, Paula (Joe) Dettor; grandchildren: Gregory (Hanna), Naranda (Sam), David, Ike, Heidi, Julie, Christian (Meegen), Elijah, Meleah, Alex, Lexie, Haili, Taylor, Jonathan, Bethany, Neveah, Dominic, Avery, Adam; great-grandchildren: Gregory, Jr., Viva, Great-granddaughter to be, Anna Marie; sister, Towanda Taylor; brothers: Robert Willard, Jimmy (Shelia) Willard.

Preceded in death by his parents, step-father, Dan Rowland; father figure, Guy McClarty; sisters: Fairy Dillard, Darnell Stinson, Gertrude McClarty; brothers: Shirley McClarty, Wayne McClarty, Gene McClarty; granddaughters: Hannah Thomas, Savannah Thomas
