Mrs. Sue and family,
My heart is broken for you all. Mr. Bill was such a sweet, precious man. He will always be remembered as doing a job that he loved-that was driving students to and from school each day. Mr. Bill will always be in our hearts, and in the hearts of the students that rode his bus through the years. May God bless and comfort you all.

❤,

Dear Sue and family,
Few people are blessed with friendships that last through decades...we always knew even if months had gone by since we saw you last we would always find a warm welcome at your door and a bite to eat at your table. We appreciate more than you know the times you expressed your love and concern to us during joyful and sad times through our lives. It still brings a smile to our face when we think about the time Bill helped us fix some things in our bathroom and when we got home he had unexpectedly installed a new "cushioned" toilet seat -- because he thought it would be a lot more comfortable than a plain, hard one... :-) We are pretty sure the mold God made to make Bill will never be used again, he was a one of a kind, good man. Our prayers are with you during this time.
Love,

I got to know Mr. Bill while he drove for Smyrna Elementary. He took us on countless field trips and would always makes me laugh when we would talk during dismissal. In the last few years, he drove my niece and nephew on his bus. He always looked out for and took care of them for me. I appreciated everything he did for them and the other kids at Smyrna Elementary. He will definitely be missed greatly by everyone who knew him. Mrs. Sue and family, just know the Smyrna Elementary family loves you and you’re in our prayers.

Sue. Our hearts are with you, Greg, April and Angel. Bill was such a good husband, daddy and a friend. He will be missed by all. Sue, I was thinking about when we all moved to Tennessee. All of us was out looking for a house. You moved so many times Bill didn’t know where to go when he came home from work. He laughed about that and said he had to call to see where to go. We have lots of memories. Love to all.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

Uncle Bill was a great man. And he will be missed tremendously. I still can remember swinging on the front porch at Mamaw and Papaws patiently waiting for him and Aunt Sue to come for a visit from Nashville. Their visits was a always good but when they left to go back home we would watch their car until we couldn’t see it anymore. Mamaw always cried when they left. Rest In Peace Uncle Bill until we meet again.

Bill was one of the best neighbors and friend a man could ask for, he was always out doing something in the yard, if he wasn't fixing something he was building something, you could ask him for anything and if he could it was yours, i don't think the man ever sat down. Bill and Sue moved across the street from me in the early 80's and that was when a great friendship started between the two families. Much love and respect to my dear friend and you will be missed more than you would ever realize, may you fly high with the angels of God. I will see you again one day, may God bless and keep you and your family family during this time. Rest-N-Peace my friend.

I remember the first time I met him driving the bus in Smyrna at Smyrna Elementary, he always had that smile and would stop say something to me. Usually just hey ,but he was always happy smiling .. then I got the pleasure to work for him and Sue the pass few years and they both treated me more like family than anything .. truly blessed to have know him and call him friend ... loved it when he started coming to church , I’d always try to stay with him ..loved making him sweets, he would light up ,♥ To know him was to love him .. I know he will be missed .. just won’t be the same.. Rest In Peace. Billy love you ♥
