Mrs. Gladys Murrell Howard, age 85, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 19 at the AdamsPlace Continuing Care in Murfreesboro, Tennessee after a long struggle with illness.
She was preceded in death by her husband M. Brandt Howard, her parents Tom and Daisy Murrell and siblings Joe Murrell and Jane Graben. She is survived by her son, Michael Howard (Donna) of Murfreesboro, TN; granddaughters, Britney White (Tanner) of Warrior, AL and Allison Howard of Murfreesboro, TN; and two nieces.
She was a long-time member of the Weatherly Heights Church of Christ in Huntsville and the Leanna Church of Christ in Murfreesboro, TN in recent years.
She enjoyed traveling and loved spending time with her dear friends and church family.
The family would like to extend special gratitude to the wonderful staff of nurses and technicians at the AdamsPlace for their loving care and support of Gladys in recent months.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 22, 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home in Huntsville with funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Kevin Dye, minister of Leanna Church of Christ, will be officiating. (www.laughlinservice.com)

To the Howard Family: My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and friends during this difficult time. I hope that the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring comfort. Knowing that there's a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.
