Henry Lee Bogle

Henry Lee Bogle, age 78, passed away April 2, 2014 at St. Thomas West.

He was a loving and kind husband who loved his family and most of all, a Christian man who loved God and his church. Henry enjoyed reading, especially civil war. He loved traveling to the Smokey Mountains and having fun. Henry retired from American General Insurance and Suntrust Bank. He was a member of the Milton Baptist Church.

Henry is survived by his wife of 57 years, Rubye Bogle. He is also survived by his brother, Billy Bogle of Milton; sisters-in-law, Flora Bogle and Ruth Bogle of Milton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Mary Rakes Bogle; brothers, Claude Bogle, Paul (Frances) Bogle, Thurman Bogle and sister, Rebecca (Bob) Blansett; and sister-in-law, Gertrude Bogle.

Chapel service will be Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 2 p.m., at Jennings and Ayers. Burial will be in Milton Cemetery, with Nathan Hale officiating. Pallbearers are Jim McCutcheon, Edwin McKnight, Jeff Windrow, Charles Edwards, Mike Ackerman, John Hutchinson, Austin Leach, Herschel Rich, Grady Lowery, Jimmy Walker, Jerry Rakes and Rick Ratcliff. Honorary Pallbearers are Dr. Steven Payne and Dr. John Pearson.
