Aida Rosales Ward

Aida Rosales Ward, a resident of Dothan, passed away on Friday, July 9, 2021 at a local hospital.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11am on Saturday, July 17, 2021, at St. Columba Catholic Church with Rev. José Paillacho officiating. Burial will follow in Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:30pm to 6:30pm on Friday at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Her prayer service will begin at 6:30pm.

Mrs. Ward was born in Guatemala City and moved to Dothan in 1972. She loved her family dearly and was a wonderful homemaker. Mrs. Ward was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church where she touched so many lives while working in the preschool as a teacher. Her warm smile and very giving spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mrs. Ward was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Leslie Joel "LJ" Ward and by her son, Gunther Ward.

Survivors include her son, Richard Joel Ward; her sister, Teresa Lopez; and numerous nieces and nephews.
