ALVIN HATCHER Obituary

Alvin Earl Hatcher Alvin Earl Hatcher of Bonifay, Florida passed away January 25, 2010 at Bonifay Nursing & Rehab Center. He was 83. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. January 28, 2010 in the Peel Funeral Home Chapel in Bonifay, with burial to follow in the East Pittman Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery, Holmes County Florida. Reverends Gary Taylor and Donald Gainey will be officiating and Peel Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be on Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. at Peel Funeral Home. Mr. Hatcher was born December 6, 1926 in Hartford, Alabama to Leslie and Elizabeth Pirkle Hatcher. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Hazel Font-enot. He is survived by his wife, Mamie Lee Cooper Hatcher of Bonifay; one son, Phillip G. Hatcher and daughter-in-law Katherine E. Hatcher and one granddaughter, Courtney K. Hatcher, all of Geneva, AL; three sisters: Voncille Lambert of Ozark, AL, Lucille Austin of Warren, Ohio; and Annette (Jay) Caskey of Enterprise, AL and several nieces, nephews & cousins.
