Amy Moore Davis, a resident of Dothan, passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at a local hospital. She was 44. Memorial services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, May 27, 2017 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kyle Gatlin officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:30 until 11. Amy was born on January 3, 1973 in Memphis, Tennessee and moved to Dothan that same year. She was a 1992 graduate of Dothan High School and received her associates degree from Enterprise State Junior College. Amy was employed as a Cardiac Patient Technician at Flowers Hospital and later with Dothan ENT for 9 years. She attended Wallace Community College and received her cosmetology degree. At the time of her death, she was employed with Mednet at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in the insurance and billing department. One of her biggest passions were her friends, she was always there for them. She loved playing Bunko and belonged to 2 different groups. Amy was a member of Covenant United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Melvin "Skip" Davis; her son, Tucker Davis; her parents, Dr. Robert and Judith Moore; her in-laws, Melvin and JiJi Davis, Sr. and Imogene Davis; her two brothers, Jason Moore and Eric (Marilee) Moore; and several nieces and nephews.
