AUBREY CORNELIUS HIDLE Jr.

Aubrey Cornelius Hidle, Jr. Mr. Aubrey Cornelius Hidle, Jr. of Geneva, Alabama passed away Saturday, August 13, 2011. He was 79. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 16, at the First Baptist Church in Geneva with Rev. Nathan Carroll and Dr. Randall Lolley officiating. Mr. Hidle will be placed into the church one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, August 15, from 6 until 8 p.m. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contribution may be made the Salvation Army or the First Baptist Church of Geneva. Mr. Hidle was born October 16, 1931, in Geneva County, Alabama to the late Aubrey C. Hidle, Sr. and Tinnie Idell McDuffie Hidle. He was a 1949 graduate of Samson High School, graduating with honors as salutatorian. He began his hardware career in1949 with Pensacola Hardware. On March 1, 1959, he became owner of Geneva Hardware, the business he operated until his death. He accomplished the 33rd Degree Scottish Rite Mason. Mr. Aubrey was a member of the Geneva First Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, two sons, Douglas Alan Hidle and Dallas Earl Hidle, as well as a grandson, Lee Parker Hidle, preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Fay Parker Hidle; two sons: Dennis W. Hidle and Daniel P. Hidle (Patti); two grandson: Kris Hidle and Colby Hidle, all of Geneva; four step grandchildren: Jade Collins, Dothan, Jody Spann II and Javin Spann, both of Tuscaloosa, Jordan Spann, Geneva; one brother, John E.
