I first met Billy Jacobsat Paradise Dragstrip in Calhoun Ga. He was having a match race and I don't remember his opponent. He came first to the starting line, got out of his car and blew a cow horn to call his opponent to the line. He was always a great showman. Great man great friend.

I met Mr. Jacobs at my parents car lot on Park Ave, which was Mr. Jacobs car lot for many many years. I thought he was such a great person and I enjoyed him so much when he was visiting my parents. I didn't know his family personally but I heard alot about all of you. He always spoke of his grand children and his love of cars and horses. He will be greatly missed. I am so sorry for your loss and my prayers are with all of you.

Billy (BIG DEAL) and I go back to his drag racing days to the horse days. He left many memories with me and he will be missed. We always loved for him to come to the Tower at the dragway. He would always make you laugh. Also visiting his barn to horse trade. We would stay for hours and then it would be 1 or 2 o:clock in the morning. I don't know many who had a zest for life as he did. He will be missed very much by all and I will have his family in my prayers

My realtionship with Billy (Big Deal) goes back many years. His first business was across the street from my home on East Park Avenue. I spent many days across the street with he and Roland when Roland and I were young boys. He taught me a lot of things about automobiles and how to face life head on. I enjoyed my time I spent with him. My sympathy to Ozella and the children and grandchildren.

Ms. Ozella and family, we are so sorry for your loss. Mr. Jacobs became a very dear friend to us. We shared many a good conservation about his good ole' days selling cars. The last time he came by the car lot we sat out in the rocking chairs out front. He reminded me that one of those chairs was his, to keep him a spot. We will miss him so much, he was so faithful to come by and check on us. I'm sure that every time I open that office door I will think of him and all the memories and enjoyment he shared with us about his car lot days. When people come in they always say, "this was Big Deal's place wasn't it". Each person has a story to tell about either them or some of their family buying a car from him. He will always have a special place in our hearts. Daniel and Darlene Maloy

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

March 22, 2007

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
