Clarice Beacham Obituary
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 12, 2008, at 1 p.m. in Trinity Baptist Church, where the Rev. Henry Small, pastor, is officiating. Interment will follow in the Gates of Heaven Cemetery with Varner Memorial Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be held Friday, April 11, 2008, from 3-7 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., and there will be a praise service held at Trinity Baptist Church at 7:30 p.m.
Her survivors include her husband of 50 years, Minister Floyd Beacham; her children, Diann (Alfred) Jones of Montgomery, Shelia (Elbert) Erkins of Eufaula, Lloyd Beacham, Todd (Michelle) Beacham, all of Dothan, Shandalyn (Willie Fox) White of Brundidge, Gwendolyn Moore of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, Martha (Walter) Mathaw of Salsbury, Md., and Peggy Gosha of Dothan; 23 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; one sister, Alice Williams Swanson of Dothan; two brothers, John (Linda) Williams and Charles (Rosalyn) Williams of Akron,Ohio; three sisters-in-law, Mildred Hudgens and Willie Mae Hammond, both of Dothan, and Idell Beacham of Webb; her godmother, Mrs. Flossie Baker, Dothan; two aunts, Jean Tisdale of Newark, N.J., and Everdean Williams of Dothan; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

There's One who hears you when you pray, So put yourself in his hands today, Trust in His goodness, lean on His love and know that His blesssing will come from above.
I remember visiting her just over two weeks ago when Alice told me she was sick. I remeber saying, "you don't look sick to me" and she said, "thank you" and gave me that infamous smile of hers. This I will always remember.

Just a few words of encouragement.
The physical presence of Clarice is not with us anymore but the sweet memories we have of her will last forever. Clarice and the Williams Family have always been like our family. I remember coming home and visiting Trinity Baptist Church and it was always a delight to see Clarice and the enormous smile she had. She was always helpful to us when it came time for us to participate in Christmas and Easter programs at the church. She will always have a special place in my heart. May God continue to bless each of you in this difficult time and remember she is with our Lord and Savior, JESUS CHRIST!!!

Our family have always been close to the William's family.I can recall when I was 6 years of age they were having May Day @ Carver High School and she ask Mom if she could take me to this event,I had so much fun.I will always remember spending that day with her.She was our favorite Sunday school teacher @ Trinity.She will be greatly missed. We will see her again that is our hope.

I recall a number of individuals in the Lakeview community that subscribed to and contributed to the "Village" concept. Mrs. Clarice Beacham was one of those contributors. Dear Love Ones, Our prayers are with you during this time, but I'm sure you know that she is now in the greatest hands of all and at peace. Hold on to all of those special times you all shared with her and just know that things are all good with her all because she made preparations in advance and now she is rejoicing with the other angels.
