Danny Cook Obituary

Danny Eugene Cook, of Midland City, passed away September 6, 2016 at his residence. He was 62. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Friday September 9, 2016 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mike Senn officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday September 8, 2016 at the funeral home. Mr. Cook was born in Henry County Alabama and resided in Abbeville during his younger years. He was a heavy equipment operator and employed with Blankenship Contracting for over 20 years. He later became employed with Geisler Contracting until his retirement in 2011. Mr. Cook enjoyed doing yard work and wood working crafts. He enjoyed time with family and especially riding the grandchildren around the yard in a red wagon behind the lawn mower. Mr. Cook was a member of Midway Assembly of God Church. Survivors include his wife, Darlene Cook; his daughter, Amanda Cook (Bill) Marchant; his 2 step-sons, Joey (Katie) Turner and Eric (Amy) Turner; his 3 grandchildren, Erika Turner, Kiera Capell, and Hunter Cook; his brother, Bill (Sheila) Cook; his sister, Ruby Key; several nieces and nephews.
