Dorothy Brooks Crumpler Obituary

Dorothy Jean Brooks Crumpler of Enterprise, entered her heavenly home on Friday, February 2, 2018. She was 89 years old. "Mrs. Dot" as everyone called her, loved her family more than life. She was blessed and adored by all who knew her. She so enjoyed her job for many years with Chandler Furniture which allowed her to display her excellent taste in decorating. Anyone who knew Mrs. Dot, associated her with Red lipstick and high heeled shoes as she was quite a prissy and classy lady. She was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Wendell E. Crumpler, her parents, Jeter L. and Kizzie Brooks of Hartford, Brothers: Junior Brooks, LJ Brooks; Sisters: Bonnie Kay and Peggy Olsen. She is survived by a brother, Jerry Brooks of Hartford, two sisters Edna Vickers of Huntsville and Mary Strand, Hot Springs Village, AR. She is also survived by her six children: Steve Crumpler (Sophie) of London, KY, Judy Goodson (the late David Goodson) of Spring Hill, TN, June Snellgrove (Ricky), Glenn Crumpler (Lisa), Tiki Hendricks (Eddie) and Liz Sipper (Ricky) all of Enterprise. She was the beloved "Nana" to 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren who loved her dearly. A resident of Enterprise Health and Rehab for the last 5 1/2 years, she had indeed made it her home and adored her loving caretakers and called them family. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Sunday, February 4th at 2:00 pm at Heritage United Methodist Church in Enterprise. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: Cattle For Christ International, 4125 Co Rd 636, Enterprise, AL. 36330. www.cattleforchrist.com
