Eva Glenda Kirkland Collins
Eva Glenda Kirkland Collins passed away October 11, 2021 after a long illness. She was born April 2, 1953, and spent her early life in the Fadette community and Slocomb, Alabama.
She donated her body to medical science to benefit others. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at New Hinson Baptist Church, Fadette, Alabama with Rev. Bryan Klobe officiating.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Webster Kirkland, mother, Ella Mildred Kirkland, and brother Phillip Kirkland. She is survived by her daughters Jennifer Rae Collins Ainsworth (Jason), Chelsea AnnaMarie Cureton; sons John Andrew Collins, Adam Spears Collins (Patricia), and Ross Clinton Collins (Rebecca); sister Marsha Ree O'Donnell, brothers Charles Kirkland and Lannis Kirkland; grandchildren Joseph Collins, Jackson Collins, Nicholas Collins, Delaney Collins, Savannah Wood, Evan Gattini, Emily Collins, Joshua Collins, Ruby Collins, and Karter Stallsmith, and her former husband John Collins.
Eva attended Slocomb Schools. She loved playing the piano, especially in church, and crafts, including needlepoint, cross-stitching, and origami. No matter what life brought, she adapted without complaint. She was a loving person who greeted everyone with acceptance and a smile.
