Franklin Cason

June 7, 1940 - November 20, 2025

Franklin Delano Cason, 85, of Dothan, Alabama, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2025, after a brief illness surrounded by loving family.

Born on June 7, 1940, in Dale County, Frank was the eldest son of the late Allen "Buster" and Eunice Maxine Cason. He served over 20 years in the U.S. Navy and another 20 for the City of Dothan, helping to establish our E-911 system. Frank was a lifelong and devoted Philadelphia Phillies and Alabama Crimson Tide fan.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Wayne; and sisters, Fran, Julie, and Susan. He is survived by his sisters, Virginia and Joyce; many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law, other family members, and countless friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, in the Sunset Memorial Park Chapel with military honors to follow. Rev. Kyle Gatlin and Scott Toombs will be officiating. The family will be welcoming visitors beginning at 1 p.m. He will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery on a date yet to be determined.
