James Lloyd "Jim" Bailey 86, of Dothan, Alabama died Monday, January 18, 2021 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, Al.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 20, 2021 in Parkhill Cemetery according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, Georgia 31907. Due to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, we encourage everyone to make the best decisions to remain safe. If anyone wishes to attend the graveside service, please remember to remain 6 feet apart from those not in your household and wear personal protective equipment.

Mr. Bailey was born September 17, 1934 in South Bend, Indiana son of the late David Reese and Wordy Jenkins Bailey. He was a member and Elder/ Board Member of the Sacrament of Praise Church in Midland City, Alabama. Mr. Bailey loved to laugh and joke with his family and friends. He enjoyed eating out and helping his neighbors and friends fix things around their homes while working at ACE Hardware. Mr. Bailey was a world famous Omelet maker and loved his dog "bugger". He will be missed by all his family and friends.

Other than his parents, Mr. Bailey is preceded in death by his loving wife June Dowling Bailey; son, Jeff Bailey and his grandchildren, Josh Bailey and Hudson Darnell.

Survivors include his children, Richard Guest (Debbie) of Dothan, AL, James Steven Guest (Sherry) and Jamie Cook (Philip) all of Columbus, Ga., grandchildren, Harrison Guest, Michael Darnell (Jennifer), Matthew Darnell (Emily) all of Dothan, AL, Lori Guest Hale (Jeremy), Kelli Leanne Kelley (Patrick) of Columbus, GA, Hannah Cook Ison (Matt), Trey Cook (Lyndsey) all of Columbus, GA, Randa Bailey of North Carolina and April Bailey Maddox of Winder, GA, and great grandchildren, Catie Darnell, Luke Darnell, Cameron Darnell, Reese Darnell all of Dothan, AL, Carter Hale, Larsen Hale, Kylie Ison, Harper Lee Ison all of Columbus, GA, Tyler Rockmart, Jacob Rockmart both of North Carolina, and Logan and Caleb Maddox of Winder, GA.
