He was born on March 9, 1950 in Alford to the late Jean and Mary Watson. Jean was a hard working man that loved his family dearly. He could always be found at his home tinkering with equipment. Jean was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Watson; his parents; and a sister Ann Watson. He is survived by his son James Chafin and wife Lisa, daughter Cindy Jordan and husband John, brother JW Watson and wife Brenda, grandchildren Carla, Caitlin, Trinity, Matt, Madison and Dawson, great grandchildren Hunter, Luke, Wyatt, and Brynleigh, and a host of nieces and nephews. Services for Jean Havard will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, February 4, 2016 in the Salem Freewill Baptist Church with JW Watson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. in the Marianna Chapel Funeral Home. Marianna Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
