Jeannie Carr Jeannie Emma Carr, a resident of Dothan, Alabama, died Monday morning, August 1, 2011, at her home. She was 62. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 3, 2011, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Phil Craddock officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at the mortuary in Headland. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Headland United Methodist Church Building Fund, 103 W. King Street, Headland, AL 36345. Ms. Carr was born and reared in Dothan, Alabama where she lived most of her lifetime. She was a member of the Headland United Methodist Church and her favorite hobby was fishing. Ms. Carr was preceded in death by her father, Paul Freeman Carr, Sr. and a brother, Paul Freeman Carr, Jr. Surviving relatives include her mother, Mary Emma Solomon Carr, Dothan; three sisters, Carol Carr Smothers and husband, Bob, Elizabeth City, N.C.; Mary Carr Liddell, Dothan; and Becky Carr Simmons and husband, James, Dothan; a brother, Steve Carr, Palm Coast, FL; several nieces and nephews.
