KENNETH PAUL HARTZOG

Kenneth Paul Hartzog Kenneth Paul Hartzog, 64, of Bonifay FL, went peacefully to be with the Lord on September 3, 2013 at Flowers Hospital after a brief illness. Born on February 15, 1949, Kenneth attended Wicksburg High School and later moved to Bonifay, FL. He was employed with Kirby Marine as a captain for 30 years. He was a member of Winterville Assembly of God Church in Bonifay FL. He loved Elvis Presley and Alabama football. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul J. Hartzog; mother, Jeanette Bowden; and brother, Paul A. Hartzog. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Shirley Hartzog; a daughter, Paula (Kevin) Simpson, Bonifay FL; two brothers, Keith (Paula) Hartzog, Dothan AL, and Greg Bowden, Samson AL; step-sister, Sherry (Andy) Fillingim, Wicksburg, AL. He also had two grandchildren, Rustin and Hayley Simpson, Bonifay, FL. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, September 5, 2013 at Winterville Assembly of God Church with Rev. Mitch Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Bonifay Cemetery with Peel Funeral Home directing. Peel Funeral Home of Bonifay, FL, (850) 547-4144, is in charge of arrangements.
