Lucille Davis Tolar

Mrs. Lucille Davis Tolar, age 87, a resident of Pansey passed away Monday, July 25, 2016 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Grandview Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Grimes and Rev. Tom Gray officiating and Kendall Glover directing. The family will be receiving friends from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. prior to services. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Grandview Baptist Church Building Fund or Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery Fund. Mrs. Tolar was born on November 19, 1928 in Houston County the daughter of O.L Davis and Una C Herring Davis. She was the owner of Dixie Beauty Shop, and was a member of the Grandview Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Thomas E. Tolar; 2 sisters; 5 brothers. Survivors include: son, Eddie "Sonny" Tolar (Becky), Dothan, AL; 2 daughters, Ruth Gray (Espy), Donalsonville, GA, Janet Palmer (Larry), Pansey, AL; 2 sisters, Sara Bloomfield (Leonard), Auburndale, FL, Gail Dozier, Ashford, AL; 6 grandchildren, Tom Gray (Jeannean), John Gray (Sherry), Luci Adams (Dr. Craig) David Palmer (Kendall), Joe Tolar and Suzanna Sawyer; 11 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be: John Gray, David Palmer, Joe Tolar, Dr. Craig Adams, Davis Adams, Christopher Gray. Honorary Pallbearers: Her Grandview Sunday School Class and The "Loop" Friends.
