Lucy Barker Pomeroy

Mrs. Lucy Barker Pomeroy, 95, of Eufaula, Alabama, died Sunday, November 27, 2016 at Henry County Health and Rehab. Memorial services will be held Saturday, December 3, 2016, at 11 A.M., at the Chapman Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ken Bush officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery Addition with Chapman Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be held from 10 A.M., until service time prior to the service in the chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Katie Duncan DAR School or to Gideon's International. Born June 27, 1921 in Akron, Ohio, Mrs. Pomeroy was the daughter of the late Clinton and Lucy Delano Burbank. Mrs. Pomeroy was a member of the Daughter of the American Revolution, Lewis Chapter. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Eufaula. She was a former member of the Bluff City Garden Club. She was a graduate of Hunter College in New York City. Survivors include 2 sons: Robert W. "Bob" (Marsha) Pomeroy of Eufaula, Alabama, Clinton B. "Clint" (Patricia) Pomeroy Sr. of Natchez, Mississippi; 4 grandchildren: Marjorie P. (Royal) Baker of Thomasville, Georgia, Robert F. (Megan) Pomeroy of Eufaula, Alabama, Clinton B. (Jessica) Pomeroy Jr. of Mantachie, Mississippi, Lesley P. (Tance) Hughes of Vidalia, Louisiana.
